U18s hit for six by Gunners

After the high of an FA Youth Cup first-round win over Gillingham last week, Charlton's U18s were brought back to earth with a 6-0 loss to Arsenal at London Colney on Saturday morning.

Charlton lost 6-0 to Arsenal at London ColneyRoarie Deacon opened the scoring for the Gunners after just three minutes, before Luke Freeman's brace increased Arsenal's advantage.

Deacon grabbed his second immediately after the restart and Conor Henderson added another three minutes later. Nico Yennaris completed the rout five minutes from full time.

Charlton: Hall; Morris (Carter 46), Jenkinson, Mambo, Cousins; Pell (Anderson 46), Bellamy, Warren, Popo (Camacho 60); Perkins, Tuna. Subs (not used): Gough, Azeez.
