Addicks join the Twitter revolution

Charlton fans can already follow their team online via www.cafc.co.uk, get commentary and video highlights via CAFC Player or read the Valley Review, but now there is a new way to get even closer to the Addicks - via Twitter.

There is a new way to get even closer to the Addicks - via Twitter

For the past eight days, communications staff have been posting brief updates about the club to the new official Charlton social network site: @CAFCofficial.

And supporters who choose to 'follow' the club feed can take advantage of the latest Charlton news direct from the training ground, The Valley, home and away games - and even en route to matches.

Sign up to @CAFCofficial by clicking here. Alternatively, go to http://twitter.com and search for @CAFCofficial.

Charlton's Twitter feed was launched the day before the first game of the 2009/10 campaign against Wycombe Wanderers, and reporter Gary Haines has so far kept followers updated on all the action from the matches against the Chairboys and Hereford United.

He will be doing the same from Victoria Park on Saturday.

But there is much more to @CAFCofficial, with recent updates revealing the latest tickets news plus inside information, ranging from why television cameras were at the stadium on Thursday to which ex-Addicks midfielder visited Sparrows Lane the same day.
