Pardew takes charge
Les Reed has left his position as Charlton's head coach by mutual consent, the club announced on Sunday evening.
Alan Pardew will take charge of the Addicks, and has signed a three-and-a-half year contract.
The club is making no further comment at this time, but will be holding a press conference at its Sparrows Lane training ground on Boxing Day.

Pardew will be the third man to take the helm of the Addicks since the start of the 2006/07 season following the news, which was officially announced at 7pm on Christmas Eve.
Iain Dowie started the campaign in charge until his sacking in mid-November with the club at the foot of the Premiership table.
And after Les Reed was promoted from his assistant position, the former Football Association technical director became head coach until his final match on December 23rd - an away defeat to Middlesbrough.
That left Charlton seven points from Premiership safety, and Pardew will take charge of his first match at The Valley on Wednesday night against Fulham (8pm).
