Parky favours Fortune return

Phil Parkinson is pushing Jonathan Fortune to 'get back to his best' after the former Addicks defender returned to the club on a short-term contract on Monday.
The centre-back, who made 195 Charlton appearances from 2001-09, has put pen to paper on a deal until Christmas after leaving Sheffield United following the expiry of his deal with the Blades in the summer.
And Charlton boss Parkinson is urging the 30-year-old to pull out all the stops in a bid to be a success with the Addicks second time around.
"When Jon was with us last he got a serious [Achilles] injury and he's never really got himself back to where he needs to be,” said Parkinson. "We want to see in these next three to four months whether we can get Jon Fortune back to the levels he was before. More of story 1
Dailly doubtful for Grecians
Christian Dailly is a major doubt for Saturday's game at Exeter City after the Charlton captain suffered a cracked eye socket in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The centre-back, who missed just two league games for Charlton last term, clashed heads with Jon Nurse as the two players jumped for the ball shortly before half-time, and needed treatment from first-team physiotherapist Erol Umut.
Dailly soldiered on for the remainder of the game as Charlton booked their passage into the next round of the competition but the veteran could now be forced to sit out the trip to St James' Park this weekend.
Phil Parkinson said: "We've got a problem with Christian Dailly, who's got a crack in his eye socket from Tuesday's game. He's seeing a specialist and we're waiting to hear the verdict. More of story 2
